Privacy & Text Messaging Policy
How we collect, use and protect your information, and how our text messaging (SMS) consent works.

This policy explains how Bedrock Countertops ("we", "us") handles information you share with us, including through our website, our quote form, our kitchen visualizer, phone calls and text messages. We serve Calgary and area and, through a partner installer, Edmonton and area, in Alberta, Canada.
What we collect
When you request a quote or contact us, we collect your name, phone number, email address, project location and details about your project (such as material, size and timeline).
Our website also records how it is used: the pages you visit, what you tap or click, the device and browser you use, your approximate location based on your internet connection, and recordings of your visit, including what you type into our forms. We use cookies and similar browser storage to do this.
How we use your information
- To contact you about your quote request and schedule your free in-home measure.
- To prepare and send your written quote.
- To follow up about your project and answer questions.
- To see how people use our website, so we can fix what gets in their way.
- To measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the companies that run parts of our service for us, for the purposes listed here:
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram). The Meta Pixel on our website, and our own server, tell Meta when someone views a page, starts or sends a quote request, or becomes a customer, so we can measure and improve our ads. When you send a quote request, your email address, phone number, name and city are shared with Meta in hashed (scrambled) form so Meta can match the request to an account.
- PostHog processes our website analytics and visit recordings.
- Google runs our business email. Photos you upload to our kitchen visualizer are sent to Google's Gemini AI service to create your preview. We do not keep them.
- Our phone and text provider carries our calls and text messages with you.
- Telegram is how our team is told about a new quote request, so we can reply quickly.
- Our hosting provider runs the servers for our website and the system that stores quote requests.
- Our partner installer. If your project is in Edmonton or area, your contact and project details are shared with our partner installer there, who installs your project.
Some of these companies store data outside Canada, including in the United States.
Text messaging (SMS) consent & opt-out
By providing your phone number and checking the consent box on our quote form, you agree that Bedrock Countertops may contact you by phone call and text message (SMS) about your quote request and project. This is your express consent under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What to expect
- Message types: appointment scheduling and reminders, quote follow-up, and replies to your questions. We do not send recurring promotional blasts.
- Frequency: message frequency varies based on your project; typically only a handful of messages around the time of your quote and appointment.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- You stay in control: you can reply STOP to any of our texts at any time to stop them, and still work with us by phone or email.
How to opt out
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. We will not text you again unless you opt back in. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us using the details below. We honour every opt-out request promptly, within 10 business days at the latest, as required by CASL.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to update your information, stop contacting you, or delete your details from our records. Just call, email or text us and we will take care of it.
To limit what our website records, you can block or clear cookies in your browser or use a content blocker. You can change how Meta uses your activity for ads in your Facebook or Instagram settings, under Accounts Center.
Data security
Quote requests sent through our website are stored in our own lead system and delivered to our business email and our team's messaging. We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, and we keep it only as long as we need it to serve you and to keep our business records.
